In your first year at co-elevate, you will become a reliable design contributor supporting the delivery of site development projects through grading, servicing and stormwater design.

You’ll work closely with your team to develop practical, well-coordinated designs, while building the technical judgment needed to take on increasing responsibility within the team.

  • Attend a stand-up meeting with your scrum team to discuss yesterday’s challenges and plan for the day’s tasks.

  • Support the development of grading, servicing and stormwater designs

  • Prepare and refine Civil 3D models and drawings

  • A daily break for a game of table tennis, hitting the Golf Sim (London) or adding to the ongoing puzzle is always welcomed.

  • Attend one of co-elevates group events such as potlucks, lunch & learns, book club, etc.

  • Participate in one of co-elevate’s charity causes such as blood drives, toy drives, food drives, or seasonal in-house charity events.

  • Participate in site visits and field reviews as required

  • At the end of a long day, it is commonplace for our leadership to send staff members home to ensure work-life balance.

[ what we are looking for in a civil designer ]

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a Canadian institution (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in land development or municipal design

  • Understanding of Canadian design standards and approvals

  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD

  • Ability to reach and interpret engineering drawings

  • Excited to work in-office at any of our locations - with flexibility when needed

  • Experience supporting projects through approvals (site plan, grading, servicing, SWM)

  • Exposure to municipal review processes and agency coordination

  • Field experience during construction
