Amino North America Corporation's manufacturing expansion in St. Thomas, Ontario, supports the company's continued growth in automotive parts production and its evolving role in Canada's automotive supply chain. The project brings additional manufacturing space, specialized press pits, and overhead crane capacity to an existing industrial facility. Working alongside Michael + Clark Construction and the broader project team, co-elevate helped navigate the challenges of expanding an active manufacturing operation, including structural modifications, foundation considerations, and civil engineering requirements.
One of the project's unique challenges was managing the significant volume of excess soil generated during construction. Rather than removing it from the property at considerable expense, co-elevate developed a creative grading solution that accommodated soil storage across approximately 90,000 square feet while maintaining proper site drainage. The expansion reflects Amino's continued investment in advanced manufacturing, supporting the company's growth and the broader transition toward electric vehicle production in Southwestern Ontario.
