3-STOREY APARTMENT BUILDING
RANKIN INLET, NU
A new 3-storey apartment building is being added to the Rankin Inlet community. This 9000 sq.ft. wood-framed apartment building provides 31 affordable housing units, consisting of a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites.
Conventional light timber shear walls and wood joists were utilized throughout the building, supported on structural steel foundation beams and piles to a durable and cost-effective housing while maximizing the use of the available site and supporting the needs of its residents.
