Craigwiel Gardens Long-Term Care is a new 62,300 sq.ft., two-storey facility in Ailsa Craig, Ontario, designed to accommodate 96 residents. The structural system combines precast concrete construction with DELTABEAM® framing to accelerate erection, reduce structural depth, and maximize clear ceiling space throughout the building.
Insulated concrete form (ICF) exterior walls were utilized to provide a durable, energy-efficient enclosure, while light-gauge steel framing was used for the interior partitions. Structural steel was also incorporated at the feature entrance canopy. Together, these systems delivered an efficient, economical, and robust structure suited to the long-term demands of the facility.
