Rem-Tech Industries is precision manufacturing company specializing in high-quality CNC machining, thermal spray coatings, and alloy material supply. They serve a range of industrial sectors including oil & gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and chemical. As the needs of the company were increasing, the size of the building needed to increase.
This project involved the expansion of Rem-Tech’s existing industrial warehouse through the construction of a pre-engineered steel building addition. The existing facility was approximately 31,000 ft², with the new addition adding 19,000 ft² of floor space, significantly increasing the usable floor area. The expansion was designed as a direct extension of a similar addition completed in 2017, maintaining continuity in form, function, and performance.
The building consists of a pre-fabricated steel structural system supported on conventional spread and strip concrete footings and a robust concrete slab on grade, and enclosed with insulated metal panel cladding. This construction approach was selected to align with contractor expertise, streamline construction, and meet the client’s operational requirements. The resulting structure provides a large, open-volume warehouse floor, optimized for material handling, crane movement, and flexible industrial use, while offering durability, efficiency, and rapid construction. From breaking ground to building turnover, the duration was approximately 8 months.
